2008

Here are the highlights from 2008:

1/2/08 - Ava: She said "May I" for the first time.

1/5/08 - Ava: First time she was sick. She threw up all over the floor by the couch. It really didn't seem to bother her at all!

1/16/08 - Ava: First time she "read" all by herself.

2/9/08 - Ava: First pets, two fish, named Bob and Gill.

2/20/08 - Ava: First black eye.

3/31/08 - Ava: First poopy on the potty!!!!!
 
5/6/08 - Baby Coury #2 Due Date........

5/13/08 - Noah Jackson Coury born!

5/15/08 - Noah: First outing, Christy's bachelorette party. He was two days old and had his first experience at a bar.
 
5/17/08 - Kevin and Christy get married!

5/18/08 - Noah: Fist bath & Mommy's first day with two kids all alone!

5/25/08 - Ava: Turns TWO years old!
 
6/1/08 - Ava: Shows her little brother how to dance to Jars of Clay.

6/7/08 - Ava: Got her first bee stings, OUCH. She was a trooper though and just kept saying her tag was bugging her. We took the sweater off to find about six stings. The bee apparently got stuck in her sweater and didn't like it!
 
6/8/08 - Noah: rolled from tummy to his back!

6/18/08 - Noah: Started "talking" to us.

6/19/08 - Ava: "Let's talk bout it"

6/23/08 - Ava: "I mell somting" (I smell something). "I mell fwench fwies" (I smell french fries...driving to the Coury's she smelled McD's)

7/9/08 - Seth is home!!!! Back from Iraq and almost out of the Army. Hooray!
 
8/1/08 - Ava: After her nap she lined up all her stuffed animals on her bed. Straight as an arrow. That's my girl.

8/10/08 - Noah: This is momentous in our lives right now. Noah had a HUGE blowout after not going for four days. This kids eats and eats so use your imagination.
Ava: Answers her play phone, "what's up?"

8/12/08 - Ava: In the midst of a fit..."I want MY Daddy." Then she got over it and decided the pillows were a horsey.

8/17/08 - Ava: Very scary. We were at the Arnold's and there were so many people there we all assumed the other was keeping an eye on Ava. It got a little quiet and Brian asked where she was. We began searching and finally went out the front door. We're calling her name and hear a giggle five houses down the street. She sees us and takes off running into their yard. Thankfully it wasn't into the ROAD!
Noah: Poor auntie Lorna, she was the recipient of a huge blowout.

8/26 to 8/31/08 - Noah: Sarah and Noah went to NY to see Seth on his East Coast travels.

9/4/08 - Ava: Playing with the Star Wars figures. "Sdormpooper."

9/13/08 - Noah: First cold...no fun.
 
9/14/08 - Ava: "I mell yemons." (I smell lemons)

9/28/08 - Ava: Thud. She pulled Noah off the couch. Ouch.

10/6/08 - Noah: First real roll over from back to tummy.

10/15/08 - Ava: First unprompted or unsolicited "I love you so much!" Awwwww.

10/17/08 - Noah: "ooooooh" sounds.

10/18/08 - Ava: Named her doll "Martina" after listening to some Martina McBride music. Poopy on the potty three days in a row!!!

10/23/08 - Bill's pizza place grand opening. The Flying Squirrel Pizza!

11/4/08 - Ava: First fat lip!

11/8/08 - Ava: She saw a lady with a pink clear rain poncho and said "she is pretty, just like Cinderella!"

11/11/08 - Seth's out of the ARMY!!!!

11/14/08 - Noah: First food, not a big fan. I'll take milk thank you very much.

11/22/08 - Ava: She called Noah her little "Tiger man". Then she said to me "sank (thank) you sweetheart". Later she told me I had a "cuuuuute outfit."

12/1/08 - Ava: Told me she had Jesus in her heart. awwwwww.

12/6/08 - Ava: First ear infection.

12/10/08 - Our first night in a house. It's a rental but we are very excited to be in a HOUSE!

12/28/08 - Ava: First nap and night sleep in her big girl bed!
Noah: Sitting up like a big boy.
