he is risen

...he is risen indeed!  Praise God from whom all blessings flow.  Praise Him all creatures here below.  Easter is such a beautiful time of celebration and reflection for all Christ had done for us at the cross.  Praise God it did not end at the cross.  Praise God that Jesus rose on the third day.  For me.  For you.  For everyone who will accept His free gift of grace.  I am grateful today for the hope I have in Christ.  I'm also grateful for family and delicious food!

This is my favorite tradition.  The Seder Meal.  Just seeing the table so beautifully set makes my heart happy.  Thank you Auntie Lorna for starting and continuing this tradition.

King of Kings and Lord of Lords Glory, Alleluia. (no peaking!)
Auntie Lorna gave the instructions and hints...and Noah found the Afikoman this year!
Ava Roo made up and led some games outside for the littles. I love her.
Wait! One last photo. The traditional Easter clothing pose. Classic.

He is risen

He is risen indeed.  Easter is here and so is Seth!  While I'm not happy he broke his arm, I am happy he decided to spend some of his time off here with us.  We have enjoyed having him here!
This year Lorne and Morgan were kind enough to offer their new home as a place to meet.
Look at that face! Isn't he adorable? And I love Caleb's grass angel. There was even a real Easter bunny!
How cute are these siblings?

easter - he is risen

He is risen indeed.  We hope all those we don't get to celebrate today with have a wonderful and blessed Easter.

Photo-bombed by daddy who caught Ava leaning against the door!

After church it was off to the Arnold's for Seder meal, and birthday celebrations! This year Caleb and Gwenna had their family birthdays on Easter which added to the fun.

For Gwenna's birthday Ava wrapped up and gave her a pair of dress up shoes, ballet slippers, and ballet wrap. When I asked Noah if he had anything Caleb might find fun he immediately said "SWORD!" But when I asked him which one he'd like to wrap and give Caleb....."uh mom, maybe we can get him a different one at the store." Since Noah does use all of his swords, and wears one nearly every day, I agreed. Just before he gave it to Caleb, Brian pulls me aside and tells me to watch how Noah gives him the sword. He'd apparently coached him on how to "present" Caleb with his new sword. Such a boy rite of passage. (Caleb's expression is perfect).

No caption required. Beauty.

Cousins, cousins, and more cousins!!! (Xan is so cute)

Grandfather - Apparently it was pretty funny to see his expression as Lonnie showed him my parents via FaceTime on the phone. What a different world this is, and think of how much this man has seen in change!!! I mean, when I was a kid cell phones weren't even around!

Last, but certainly not least because this is my favorite of the day, my sweet niece Lucy. Love this little face!

easter celebrations

Happy Easter Celebration!
At the Coury's house for dinner. Vera even let Uncle Brian hold her! (for about 45 seconds...poor Brian)
This year we took the kids to the Tam O'Shanter Easter egg hunt on Saturday. It was their first and watching them was so much fun. They were having a hard time grasping the concept of running around and grabbing up treats. They kept looking at me as if to say "are you sure this is okay?"
