"Gratitude is an offering precious in the sight of God, and it is one that the poorest of us can make and be not poorer but richer for having made it."
--A.W. Tozer
My hope is that I would have a heart of gratitude this Thanksgiving. We have so very much to be grateful for and this time of year is a wonderful season for reflection.
Someone takes after her auntie...
My sweet little man. He always has to be touching whomever he is sitting with...lucky Uncle Isaac!
Dapper little dude.
One of my favorite things to be in this world is an auntie. These two warm my heart.
I am thankful for many things. At the top of that list is my mama. While I don't like being away from her for any holiday, this Thanksgiving was particularly rough. It was the first one without my papa. My heart ached and I wanted to be with her. I couldn't take the pain away, I couldn't make it better, my presence wouldn't bring him here...yet I wanted to sit next to her. All day.
In a feeble attempt to send our "love" to her in Arizona the grand kids created this piece of...art?
Top left hand: Ava
Middle hand: Lucy
Top right hand: Noah
Each kid then added their own flare to the piece. Left half - Ava, bottom - Lucy, and right half - Noah. These guys love their Nana. Once the paint dried I pulled off the painter's tape.
and voilĂ !
A good turnout at the Coury's for Thanksgiving this year! There were a lot of littles running around which made the day...well, louder...but also more fun!
These two were entertaining. Ready? GO!
Good buddies. They were already plotting their next get together. Slumber party!
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!
Things were a little different this year. Noah and Mommy were down with nasty colds and spend Thanksgiving Day on the couch...watching Cars. I got to take a nap and he watched his favorite movie, all in all it could have been a worse Thanksgiving.
Brian and Ava went over to the Coury's and celebrated with Gramma/Grampa, Bill, Diane, and Vera. They had a really wonderful time and I was so Thankful they were able to go. (plus they brought home amazing leftovers!!!)
I think everyone was having a good time! Love these guys...
Ava absolutely LOVES being a big cousin! Vera's face is priceless! Too...much...pie.
Brian, how was dinner? and for you Ava?
