2009

Here's what happened in 2009:

1/6/09 - Ava: "I yike uncle Ses, he swings me really high!"

1/20/09 - Ava: It took my little girl an hour and a half to eat her breakfast....1/2 a banana.

1/21/09 - Noah: Army crawler. He drags his leg and pulls with the opposite arm.

1/26/09 - Ava: Driving range with Daddy. "Nice shot man!" She said that to a guy down the range.

1/31/09 - Noah: Slept through the night! He went from 8 pm to 7:15 am!

2/5/09 - Noah: Almost has a tooth on the bottom.
Ava: She threw a HUGE fit today, then said "I frustrated." Great, she's two and a half.

2/12/09 - Ava: We were listening to Sean Hannity today and he was talking about Obama. Out of nowhere from the back seat she says "Rock-o-bye Bama sad because Ava no like him."

2/16/09 - Noah: "Maaa" I'll take it! That's mama in my book! He pulled up on his knees for Daddy.

2/17/09 - Noah: 1st tooth! (lower right)

2/23/09 - Noah: "Clapping" his hands. Sits up in bed. Plays the piano, and rides the horsey at Coury's.

2/25/09 - Ava: She did a full somersault today!
Noah: Sat up all by himself and crawled three "steps" all by himself. He's saying "Mama, Nana, and Da-da."

3/6/09 - Noah: Got tooth #2 today (bottom left).

3/29/09 - Noah: Big day. He ate two rocks, roared like a "lion" while crawling on his knees, and gave kisses.

4/12/09 - Noah: First Easter, how did he celebrate? Hugging CJ's big bear was top of the list, and eating out of the garbage. Yum.

4/13/09 - Noah: He signed "eat" all by himself!

4/16/09 - Noah: He fell down the stairs today. I'm pretty sure it was at least half, although I didn't see it, I heard a bump...bump thud, bump bump, THUD. Not good.
Ava: Blew kisses to me when I checked in on her at 11 pm before going to bed. So sweet. She did it without me even doing it first.

4/18/09 - Ava: She got three of her 2 yr molars. Trooper. You wouldn't even know she was teething.

4/24/09 - Ava: Wiggle Worship at church. So cute. They sang three songs and did the motions. She was in the front middle and just too cute.

5/7/09 - Noah: He waves and give kisses. He can sign: More, eat, thank you, please, and daddy.

5/13/09 - Noah: First birthday big boy! He took his first steps today too. Love you buddy.

5/17/09 - Noah: Took 5 or 6 steps today. He said "bye bye" then gave a big toot and then a high five to daddy. Boys.

5/22/09 - Noah: Got the second top tooth through.

5/25/09 - Ava: Happy Birthday! Big girl is three years old now.

6/5/09 - Ava: "Mommy, you my best friend." Ahhhh, thanks babe.

6/6/09 - Noah: Got the top left second tooth.

6/7/09 - Noah: We took him to the ER today for a fever that we couldn't get down. He's had one for three days but today was 104 to 105 and tylenol couldn't bring it down. They said he was a little dehydrated and might have pneumonia.

6/10/09 - Noah: Bonked his face after falling on the stairs. Has a full body rash. Good times.

6/12/09 - Noah: Stood up all by himself, didn't pull up on anything.

6/13/09 - Ava: She wrote her name all by herself!!!
Noah: New word, "hoooow" (help). Last day of nursing. Sorry buddy, you're on your own now.

6/19/09 - Noah: Dropped the play spoon in heater vent, then stood over it saying "uh ooooooh" over and over.

6/20/09 - Lorne and Morgan get married! (Ava gets to be the flower girl)

6/23/09 - Ava: Can say the pledge of allegiance.

7/24/09 - Ava: Has an imaginary friend named "Ali".

8/3/09 - Ava: "Come here you little dickens!"

8/5/09 - Ava: In the car with Nana, "Go dude!" When Nana asked what? Her response, "Nana...it's traffic."

9/12/09 - Justin and Rachel get married!! (Ava gets to be a flower girl)

9/15/09 - Ava: "Oh my gracious goodness!"

9/23/09 - Ava: First night of Awana, she's a Cubbie!

10/1/09 - Noah: His current favorite book is Brown Bear.

10/3/09 - Ava: She's getting very good at the "th" sound. She can say bath very well.
Noah: New sound, meow like a cat.

10/6/09 - Ava: New imaginary friend, Melissa (pronounced Meelissa).

10/22/09 - Ava: There was a bruise on her banana today, "Mommy, can you get this 'moose' off?"

10/27/09 - Noah: Fat lip!!

10/29/09 - Noah: New fav? Shake his head and say "Mo" for "No!"
Ava: In the past things are "Yester-while".

10/30/09 - Ava: Disturbing. She was singing the Barney song today. I PROMISE she has never watched that.

11/2/09 - Ava: I was out in the garage painting the bed frame when she came to check on me. I'm watching Harry Potter. She asks if she can watch "Harry Poppins" too.
Noah: He got in the play stroller that's meant for the dolls and said "siiiiister." Then he said, "go!"

11/5/09 - Noah: First molar popped through. (top left)

12/24/09 - Ava: She was scared to death of Santa landing on her roof. She made Brian promise to make a sign, put it in the yard that told Santa he could only land in the back yard. Funny later, but she was terrified and wouldn't go to sleep.

12/25/09 - Noah: We told him the cookies were all gone, Santa ate them! "Ohhhhhh" (very disappointed.)

12/26/09 - Ava: We "won" a goldfish (Solomon) in the adult game and today Ava said "we need to take that fish out." Why? "So we can cook him."
