rock climbers

It was finally time to face the fact that neither of my children had pants hitting below their ankles. Fall is upon us, and we've had a few crisp days, time to shop. A few hours of shopping for clothes, what five and three year old wouldn't love that?

The one thing that kept my troopers going was the carousel at the end of the tunnel. Right next to the carousel is a climbing wall. Both kids have expressed the desire to give it a try, but I've managed to put them off...until now.

Noah did pretty well, I must say, for a three year old. He tried and made it almost half way before deciding he wanted down. I was so proud of him though, after some persuading, he tried again. This time he made it more than half way up! It was about that time he looked down and realized how far up he was. Yikes! I tried a couple of times to tell him everything was fine and keep going. There is a red button at the top that you push to set off a siren. That was almost enough to keep him going....almost. Mommy come and get me!!!! I was not planning on scaling any walls that day. And may I just say it is harder than it looked.

Then my sweet girl decided to give it a second try. She was trying so hard to be brave. It was just a little much for her. The very end of my reach was about as far as she got. Next time...
