First things first, this was Noah's first plane ride (that he will remember). He was beyond excited to be at the airport let alone get on a plane. We took a later flight thinking the kids would go right to sleep when we arrived. We arrived around 10:20 pm, got our bags, headed for the car. Both kids fell asleep which lead me to believe we would have a smooth transition. Uh, no. Once they got to Nana and Papa's house it was second wind time! They were up until past midnight.

Unfortunately, it was too much fun for the kids to fall asleep in the same room. To resolve this issue we put Ava in our bed and Noah in his bed until both fell asleep. On one particular night Brian was putting Noah down. Ava got impatient and came out to see what was the hold up. I told her he'd be right there, just get back to our bed. About 20 minutes later I went to see what happened. What I found...Brian asleep on the floor next to Noah, and Ava out but clearly not happy about having to wait her turn.

We were lucky enough to catch Uncle Mark on his last day in town. He and Noah were locked in an epic Noodle war. It's still unclear who won since both sides claim victory. They moved on to playing catch with a bouncy ball. Noah tried to include Nana but she just wasn't cuttin it.
Noah: Nana, watch Uncle Mark (as he bounces the ball to Mark). See? Like that. (then he bounced the ball to Nana...she caught it.) Gooood job Nana!

One of the days Brian was golfing my Mom and I took the kids to The Train Park. It's a great park in Scottsdale that Grandpa Mike would have loved. There kids rode the train around the park, had ice-cream, and played at the "Alamo". Noah was cracking me up. There were about three groups of kids playing their own games. He would just join right in, and when they moved on so did he. He didn't skip a beat, just moved on to the next group. You can try to keep weapon toys away from little boys....they'll just use sticks.

We decided to visit a local zoo. It was amazing. I've hear the Phoenix zoo is nice but we took a chance on the Wildlife World Zoo. There were so many different animals. We took a train ride around part of the zoo, fed giraffe's, talked to a parrot (who surprised us by talking back!), and the highlight for Noah; saw a crocodile!

Uncle Seth lives about an hour away. We went down to his apartment and took the kids swimming. Apparently the locals don't come out poolside until it hits 100. It was about 80 which is plenty warm for me, but the pool was cold!!! The kids didn't stay in long but had a great time.

Took the kids on the waterfall hike. Is it just me or does Ava look WAY too big?

Daddy took the kids to the driving range. (look closely at the 2nd pic of Noah's swing...see the ball?)
