perfect stranger

My mom and I ventured to the Supermall yesterday in search of wedding clothes. The kids were really great, we were asking a lot of them to shop that long. (I barely survived myself). At the half-way point we stopped for lunch. After we were all done it was time to hit the potty before setting out again. Enter Noah...

Me: Noah, time to go potty buddy. Go with Nana okay?
Noah: How about I go in the mens room?
Me: Um, no. Nana can't go in there, you need to go with her.
Noah: But she can stand outside!
Me: Still no. I need you to go with Nana, you need to be in the same bathroom as her. There will be strangers and people we don't know in the mens room with you.
Noah: Well...maybe I can find a nice, friendly stranger.
Me: (uhhh...that's what I'm afraid of!) A friendly stranger?
Noah: Yeah! Like a police officer or something.
Me: (this kid thinks things through) Well, that would be okay I guess, but not today buddy. Gotta go with Nana.

On our stop at Carter's they had free face painting! Kids enjoyed a little break from shopping.
