happy birthday ava roo

Are you really seven years old?  My sweetest girl you are becoming a young lady.  I love you more than you will ever know and am so glad you are my girl.  You are lovely, intelligent, sweet, and funny.  I'd hang out with you anytime.

Birthday breakfast = McDonald's sausage and egg biscuit. Check. Cutest girl in my world in her "morning" hat. Check. Good start to the birthday celebration.
The kids saved their cards from Uncle Seth to open today. As you can see from their reaction it was QUITE a surprise. Noah said, "Mom! It's a two and a zero not a one and a zero! I think I need make a thank you letter and get my 10 and send it to Uncle Seth." That's my boy. I think you may need some change from this birthday card.
Ava got to open her gifts from Nana a little earlier. What a treat! Quite awhile ago she asked Nana for a "sisters" dress so she could be Betty Haynes. Nana did NOT disappoint. As an added bonus she made her a Tinkerbell outfit as well. This girl was haaaappppeeeee! The smile says it all.
We were then treated to a performance by "Betty".

Earlier in the week we took Ava on her birthday outing to the Point Defiance Zoo with the Althoff kiddos. Despite the rain the kids had a blast. Ava and Sam were inseparable. It was too cute. When we sat down to eat it was quite chilly. Ava was shivering, and I kid you not, Sam took off his coat and gave it to Ava. He was wearing short sleeves! Such a gentleman, good work Heather and Matt! (don't worry, I applauded his chivalry but insisted he take his coat back).

This crew....
They loved being able to feed and touch the rays. I can't believe Ava actually did it!
Shark attack!
Oh my. That's about all I can say. Ohhhh my.

Happy birthday sweet Ava Roo! We love you so very much. Looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for year seven!
