noah is 6!
My sweet little guy turned six years old today. He is a joy and delight. This past year he's grown physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't feel blessed to be this young man's mama. Happy Birthday Noah Jackson!
He loves to run, play, have light saber wars, memorize scripture, laugh really LOUD, swim, ride his bike, be read to, visit the zoo, play anything with his sister, dress up, snuggle with mommy or daddy, go for hikes, the beach, go fishing with his dad, watch the Seahawks, and pretty much anything else you can think of that a six year old boy likes to do.
Each day he says something that makes me laugh. Seriously. If I shared all the funny things this guy says on FB, everyone would unfriend me for spamming. He is hilarious without meaning to be, which makes it even funnier.
Love you my sweet baby boy. Be a strong and courageous young man who loves the Lord, lives to serve, and is always a gentleman. I love you buddy.
This year, as in years past, I offered to make the birthday boy ANYTHING he wanted for breakfast. Guess what he chose? Chocolate Lucky Charms. I'm no Julia Child...but I make a mean chocolate chip pancake! Nope. Stickin with the sugared up, processed, cereal.
His last night of being five. Couldn't resist. Too much cuteness. I came up with the idea of giving him six balloons with Birthday Bonus Technology Tickets...and no (Brian) I did not find the idea on Pinterest. Pshhh. I have thoughts. I have ideas. ;)
It's tricky getting a candle to stay upright in a bowl of cereal.
Getting to open one present in the morning...from his sister...GUM! She also drew him a pretty awesome dinosaur.
It was really beautiful today in Seattle, and we took full advantage. To make it even more exciting and special Tori and her girls came too! We fully enjoyed our time at Owen's Beach.
Tori was a hero...she brought balloons. Amelia just wanted to know why she couldn't put her balloon in her mouth.
Loose balloon? Not a problem, Noah is on the job.
My favorite picture of each kiddo...
On three...ONE -TWO-THREE! Whoa....wait, what? Gwenna had second thoughts.
But she rallied in a big way, without being asked, to save Ava's flip flop from floating away. I wish I'd captured the look on her face when she realized how far out she was!
This went on for over an hour. I love how Gwenna starts out by saying she went in up to "here"...the bottom of her suit...and ended with her hand at her neck. Awesome.
Then we hit the trails! Does it get any better than sliding down the hill on your bottom, or getting eaten by a tree?!
On our way home, birthday call to Nana. I'm at a stop light just trying to take one picture...Noah says "oh, hold on Nana.." and puts the phone down to hold up six fingers. I guess he feels bad for his old mom and wants to be sure I can remember that he's turning six today.
...and for dinner? Hot dogs and watermelon. Birthday cake? Not for this guy. S'mores please, and thank you.
I love the time and thoughtfulness these guys put into each others gifts. Ava painstakingly chose this very specific and special Star Wars lego set. I think he likes it.
Part one to his Robin Hood ensemble...
