Tonight we had the opportunity to serve at a shelter for women and children in Seattle. Ava and I served dinner to the ladies and their kiddos there last fall with my Bible study small group. When I heard they were going again I asked if we could tag along!
On the way there we talked about what we hoped for tonight, who we'd like to meet or talk with, and then what we could intentionally pray about before we arrived. Ava then says, "mom I hope I get to talk to some kids, and maybe I can tell one about Jesus. I can tell them He's my savior and then some of his miracles and then maybe they can tell their moms...or other kids...and then it can spread. *pause* It could spread just like peanut butter...all around..."
You go my little peanut butter for Jesus (PB for J)! Love this girl. Love serving with her.
On a side note...one of the young girls, who decided to stick close to me all night, made my year by guessing I was 27 years old. Why yes, yes I am. And you must be a straight A student!
