family birthday camp-out

The kids wanted to have a camping/hiking party for their birthdays.  Uncle Seth kicked this off when he was here in April by giving them AMAZING kid sized Camelbak Hydration Backpacks!  We will get great use of these for sure.

Now, on to the cake...this is what happens when I ask Brian's mom if she'd like to make the cake for the kids party.  It isn't a cake, it is a masterpiece.  It's a huge s'more.  Come ON!  It's amazing.  Think they like it?

Uncle Brian was on a ROLL! I love the look on Lucy's face..."What are you doing? I think I need to get in on this." Vera wasn't having it.
Gifts - The kids received amazing gifts from their aunties, uncles, Grammy, Grampa, and cousins. Ava, who already has the persona of Hermione Granger nailed down, received a time turner from Grammy and Grampa. Oh my. Look at that face.
Cap guns were the other theme of the day.  Not sure how they go with camping, but I have very excited children.  *snifffffff*  "Mmmm, mom!  I smell gun powder!"
Noah gives the BEST expressions.  The next two crack me up...look at Ava.  She and Kyle are trying Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans! Some of them are just nasty.  Priceless.
