first year of cc complete
I've been homeschooling for about five years, but this was the first year we joined a co-op. My kids loved it, I loved it, and we're all looking forward to doing it again next year!
Here are a couple of highlights (and one low light...pshhhh Noah) from this year. The CC class only meets 24 weeks a year, and each mama took six weeks of teaching. These pics are taken during the amazing Mrs. Katen's weeks. Next year I want to do a better job of capturing each mama as they teach. I've learned a lot from these ladies and I'm grateful for their dedication and friendship.
During Mrs. Amack's time as teacher they got to learn all about their bodies. I loved this one because I remember doing something very similar in school. Too cute.
Here's one of their science lessons. The kids LOVE it.
...and here's the low light. This is my son. I am so proud. We were playing a review game called "Wiggle Worm." The basic idea is you either draw a subject and get a review question, or you draw a worm and everyone stands up and wiggles like a worm....unless you're Noah.
For the last day of school the kids baked a "lava" cake at Gramma's house. When you cut the cake open candy is supposed to flow out like lava. It was a sugary hit.
