happy #9 ava roo!

It's here.  Ava's turning nine today.  Her last year before double digits.  I'm not ready.  She's growing up too fast, but what a beauty she's becoming!

Last night as sweet number eight.
Breakfast! She found this Frozen cereal back in January and thought we'd better get it because it is a limited edition. Just in case.
One of my favorite things is watching the kids open gifts from each other. The best!  Another great gift and, thanks to modern technology and FaceTime, she was able to open with Nana.  Season 2 of Little House on the Prairie.  Oh yes.  She is a very happy girl!
Now off to lunch at Red Robin (her choice)...singing and all! Then, after lunch, a surprise for our lovely lady.

What Ava wanted most was a big girl purse, and make-up. I thought Brian was going to have a heart attack when I told him what I'd bought...not to worry! It's only for dress up and she's not allowed to wear it out of the house. She was super excited. We also got each of the kids their own Bible. It was such a blessing to see each of their faces light up at the opening of their Bibles. I love that they have a hunger and thirst for the Word of God. I pray that will continue and follow them for the rest of their lives.
Birthday dinner! Fettuccine and asparagus! Followed by dessert, cupcakes make with lots of love by Grammy.
