they said it...

...and I blog it.  Another installment of "the things my kids say."  Sometimes I can't believe what their little minds come up with!

Let's start with Noah.  We are getting ready for a trip to Montana, and I still need to pack their suitcase.  Of course they want to help, but things would just be smoother if they were...uh...not helping.  Enter, the Nana.  "Mom, if I give you $20 will you take your grands to dinner, please?"  She graciously took them to Panera.  At the counter, as she was ordering their dinner, Noah tells the person taking the order that his mom "is being a busybody."  I'm told the poor woman didn't know whether to laugh at my son's indelicate remark, or....  After a moment my mom figured out that he meant his mom was being busy with her body at home packing for the trip.  Rrrrrrrright.

PREFACE: Brian's work may require a home office in the near future, and we've been talking about buying a home and putting a work shed/office in the back.  This is what happens when your nine year old overhears your conversation...

Again, the Nana had the kids and was driving them home from Tacoma.  While driving through the Tacoma neighborhood, Ava and Noah were talking about how much fun they had with Jade and Amaris, and how they wanted to do it more often.  Nana said, "let's look for 'for sale' signs.  Maybe we'll see a good house in the neighborhood."  Ava pipes up with "yeah, we need an outhouse for dad."  Uh, what?  Nana had to ask, "dad needs an outhouse?"  Ava: "yeah.  So he can do his business."
