This is a page from Noah's language arts creative writing.  It makes me smile.  I love the way he sounds out words.  Since Ava is in Essentials I've been doing a lot of studying on creative writing.  What I have learned is that the left and right brain serve very different purposes.  Our left is responsible for all the rules, and grammar, and spelling.  The right is responsible for all that good creativity!  When you are young and mastering the rules, grammar, and spelling it makes creative writing SO difficult.  They can usually dictate a very creative story to you but putting that pencil to paper and writing it becomes a struggle.  Thus...you get awesome papers like this one.
