big girl bike

This summer we've been looking for the next size up bike for Ava. I'm not much of a garage sale person, I'd like to be, but realistically I just never go. Craig's List is perfect for me when I can find the right deal. My mom found one that looked pretty good, but turned out to be even better! For a used bike this was an amazing find.


She didn't take long to get the hang of it. Before I knew it she was way off in front of me. (she is the tiny pink spec on the path)


Today I took her down on a nice flat trail for a ride. She ended up going 2.5 miles! I was pretty impressed her little legs could so that far on her second ride. When we got back this was her conversation with Brian...

Brian: Hey! How your ride?
Ava: Good...
Me: Tell Daddy how far you went! (had to whisper it to her)
Ava: I went 2 1/2 miles, and I really enjoyed it.
(really enjoyed it? is this kid 4 or 40?)
