We are reciting Ava's Awana (Cubbies) memory verse as part of her school work. Noah, who really needs to be doing his "cool" (school) work too, wanted to do the verse.
Noah: I do cubbie work!
Me: Ok buddy, let's do your verse. Genesis..
Noah: No! I do it myself!
Me: Oh, ok.
Noah: (blank stare)
Me: How about Gene...
Noah: No! I do it!
Me: Ok. (still nothin). Genesis 1:31.
Noah: Jennifer firty one (good try buddy, I looked but there isn't a book in the Bible called Jennifer).
Getting out of the car and we were noting what a glorious fall day it was...
Me: Isn't the sunshine great?
Noah: Yeeeeah.
Me: Thank you God for the sunshine today!
Noah: Thank you God........(pause)......He not answer.
Skype with Nana and Papa...
Nana: Ava you will get to sleep on an air mattress on the floor!
Noah: No Nana, you not sleep on the floor you walk on floor.
...and saving the best for last. This wasn't something Noah said, but what he did. Kids were playing before dinner and as I went to call them in I see both huddled in the dirt near the house. From the window what I saw next was disturbing. Noah was licking a worm.
Wow that is a huge worm!!! I would have been to afraid to even pick it up!
