This pirate ship was a creative collaboration between Nana (aka - my mom) and myself. I think it turned out really cute.

...and what would a pirate party be without making the accused walk the plank!

The kids (Ava especially) were so excited to have cousins Jade and Amaris coming. Are these good looking pirates or what?

Cousins - Gwenna, "hellllooo Lael, can I come in...please?" "No? Okay, how about I take you for a riiiiide."

Cannon Balls! One of the games I had for the kids was to sink the ship using black "cannon ball" water balloons. They sank my battleship.

Ava tried to get Xan with her last water balloon...unfortunately for Ava it bounced right off and Xan was able to get Ava all down her back!

Fun with gifts and cake! Cute story alert: Noah received a pouch of gold coins from Uncle Bill and Auntie Diane. After a little bit he started telling some people what he wanted to do with the money. They called me over saying I needed to hear this. Noah then told me that he wanted to give me all this money so I could buy a stool cause when we sit down at the counter there are only two stools and I always have to stand. Is my son the sweetest or what? He wanted to give me his plastic pirate money to buy a stool. I love this guy.

The kids had a treasure hunt that sent the kids all around the house and yard looking for their next clue. (Gwenna was convinced the rose bush held the key) I couldn't have done it without help from my creative co-captains Auntie Lorna and Nana who made the clues! At the end the treasure was "buried" under the bbq...Noah was a little disappointed no digging was required but recovered when he opened his treasure box.

It was a really fun day and we thank all our family who came to celebrate with us!
