It may take a bit to get to the good part but this does require a little back story. Both kids like to "help" me at the check out. Doesn't matter what store, they both like to push the debit card green button. I've tried to remember who went last but let's be real...I'd be lucky to remember what I ate for breakfast.
Today we were running a few errands and at the store Noah squeezed between the myself and the counter then asked:
Noah: Mom, can I push the green button....wait! No...(going over to Ava and getting a little in her face, but in a sweet way)...Ava it's your turn to push the green button, okay?
Me: (whispering in his ear) Noah, that was really great buddy, thank you for remembering and telling Ava it was her turn. I'm really proud of you!
Me: (normal voice) You did good buddy, thanks for putting Ava ahead of yourself.
Cashier: Wow, that's great. Starting them at a young age.
Noah: No, she is not young. She is older than me! I am only four and she is SIX!
I absolutely LOVE this guy.
